How do I log in to my Meso account?
Each time you want to access your account, Meso requires two-factor authentication to ensure your activity is never compromised. Depending on how you access Meso there are a few ways you can login:
- Verify your wallet address by connecting your wallet and signing a message and then the code sent to your phone.
- Note that this must be the same wallet address you used when onboarding with Meso. If you want to switch wallets, you'll have to set up a new account and link the alternate wallet. This is because Meso's launch only allows for a single wallet and bank account. Down the road, you'll be able to add multiple payment methods and wallets.
- Enter your email and password and then the code sent to your phone.
- Use a passkey (no phone verification required)
After completing these steps, you'll be successfully logged in and able to complete a transfer.
Why do I need to connect my wallet and sign a message?
Crypto transactions are, by nature, irreversible. That means that we don't have a way to help you if you make a mistake, and you may lose money by using the wrong address or other incorrect details.
To help avoid that outcome, Meso requires you to verify your wallet's ownership by connecting that wallet and signing a message. This ensures that we not only receive your untampered wallet address, avoiding copy-paste errors when entering your address manually, but also that you are in possession of that wallet at the time of the transfer.
