What is a transfer?
A transfer is the process of moving funds between your bank account and your self-custodial crypto wallet. This process can move in either direction and is known as either an on-ramp or off-ramp transfer.
An on-ramp transfer is when money is debited (pulled) from your bank account, and crypto is acquired on your behalf and immediately sent to your self-custodial wallet.
An off-ramp transfer flows in the opposite direction. You send the crypto from your wallet to Meso, who will sell that crypto in exchange for US Dollars and then credit (push) those funds directly into your bank account.
Blockchain and assets supported are listed here.
Quotes and how they work
Quotes are generated as soon as you request a transfer. A quote contains the following information about your potential transfer:
- Crypto asset type you wish to buy
- Total crypto you will be receiving
- Total in US Dollars you will paying to buy that crypto (including fees)
- Exchange rate
- Blockchain fee (for more details see Fees & Limits)
- Meso fee(for more detail see Fees & Limits)
Due to the volatile nature of crypto, the quote is refreshed every 15 seconds to ensure an accurate exchange rate.
Obtaining a quote is not an obligation to buy.
Transfer speeds
All transfers result in the instant transfer of crypto to your self-custodial wallet.
The debit (pull) of funds from your bank will happen the same day. However, it may not reflect on your account until the next business day.
